Findings-This patient demonstrates a transverse fracture line at the base of the 5th metatarsal, called a Jones fracture.
-The fracture is located 1.5 – 2.5 cm from the proximal aspect of the 5th metatarsal.
-Typically caused by an inversion injury.
-Associated with a high incidence of non-union due to tenuous blood supply.
