Can be remembered by the following nemonic

4 Ts + 2 L

4 Ts are

-thyroid masses such as goiter.

-Thymic masses.

-Terrible lymphoma.

-Teratoma.

while the 2 L are

-Lipomatosis and lipoma.

-Lymphangioma(hygroma).CT appearance as single or multiple cysts envelop rather than displace mediastinal structures.

1-Thymic masses are

-thymic cyst.

-thymoma.

-thymic carcinoma.

-thymic carcinoid tumor.

-thymic hyperplasia.

-thymic rebound seen after 3 to one years of receiving chemotherapy for malignancies.

-thymic lymphoma.

-Germ cell tumors such as teratoma,seminoma or chorio-carcinoma.
