Para-vertebral Masses:
1-Neurogenic tumors:
-Could be one of three types,the first one arising from the peripheral nerves(neurofibroma and neurolimmoma i young adults),while the second one arise from sympathetic ganglia(ganglioneuroma and neuroblastoma in children) while the last type arises from paraganglionic cells(pheochromocytoma and chemodectoma).All these tumors could be benign or malignant.
2-Lateral thorasic meningocele:+vertebral anomalies+filled with intracecal contrast.
3-Neuro-enteric cyst:+vertebral anomalies+not filled with intracecal contrast.
4-Diseases of thorasic spines as tumors,infectious spondylitis and fractures which causes bilateral paravertebral masses.
5-Extra-medullary hematopoiesis
6-Vascular abnormalities such as aortic aneurysm
